I was always having similar problems when using Belkin Wireless cards for my notepad, always cutting out. Have u tried removing the 3rd party drivers that came with the router??

If the Router is new I would suggest replacing it for something else. I now use SMC Network products, very reliable and more stable

Tks for the reply steveon, this is the second belkin 1st was replaced by PC world, can you tell me if these devices need to be on ground level or can they be first floor and still work? Could it be my modem? Sorry for the stupid questions.............Philip

    Hi Georgey.
It doesn't matter where u have router situated unless u live in an old period house with solid concrete walls u shouldn't have a problem with leaving your router upstairs.

Other things u might want to try are moving the channel that you are broadcasting youur wireless router via but I personally can tell u that from experience the problem is more than likely the belkin card itself ...If its new go back to the shop and put a few extra quid and get a better brand.
