This is just laughable, a superintendant in Galway, in charge of the drink driving squad for the west coast (I think) was reported by a civilian when spotted driving dangerously in an unmarked garda car. He was apprehended and found to be way over the legal limit. He had been promoted to head of the squad only weeks ago! I personally would have loved to be the civi that reported him, its definatley a case of whats sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, he resigned as well today or yesterday I think. Good enough for him. What are your thoughts on this?

I am absolutely delighted to see that this waste of space is no longer a senior policeman. Pity is we have a long way to go to make sure the he and is ilk are properly brought to account. For instance, the two perjurers that put Frank Shortt in prison for something he did not do were never brought to trial.
