    Hi

I have a BMW Business Radio in 00 reg 318i. Has a cassette player.

Will a bog standard car radio with CD player fit my car (typical ones on 7daysahop and similar sites)?

    S

You need an adaptor if you want to fit a normal cd player because the bmw player is wider.
You could buy a bmw cd player of eBay like this one.

It’s much easier to fit and it keeps the dash looking standard as an aftermarket cd player will not lie flush and will stick out slightly

BMW sell a centred trim for aftermarket stereos which looks fine - a unit such as Becker will fit in perfectly with the rest of the car and not look out of place, although they're not cheap.

You need a BMW to ISO loom too.
