Hi Guys. I posted here a few months ago ina quandy over whether I should go and serve my calling to God or stay with the woman I love uber alas in the world. I was pretty distraught when I posted and if it werent for my technical incompetence Id link the thread but.....we all have failings and technology is one of mine!

I drop into Boards.ie two or three times a week and always see the same people doing their best o give advice from a caring angle. Beruthiel, Im looking at you! Ballbreaker but a caring no nonsense person.

Anyway, the jist of the story was that i feel a huge calling to serve God but have a woman in my life whose value I hold above all else. She is the best person I ever met and I know because I try very hard in my life to be a success she knows I will always look after her and hold her as my light. The only problen was I wanted to be a priest and the whole "lady" issue was getting in the way. The guys onthis board showed me I can serve God and be with the woman I love. There was a solution and you people helped me find it.

I see every time I come in here posters offering the best advice they know and never any updates so I said I would post as to how things are going as you guys basically saved my bacon!

All is well in my world and Im very thankful for it. The Mrs is up the duff!!!! Im going to be a Dad. I cant believe it. The joy in my heart is so huge I cant tell you how I feel. Considering what a wonderful person the mother is, I cant get over how lucky i am to have all this joy in my life. I got so near to throwing it all away and was in a very vunerable position when I posted here and yet all I got back was thoughtful, helpful and strutured posts and Im very thankful for that.


SO - THANK YOU ALL: Giving advice is a thankless process buthe longterm effects that you never hear about are what makes it worthwhile.

I remember that thread, I'm thrilled PI was able to help focus your thoughts.
