    Hi all

I am looking for a product that my mother who lives alone can use.

I am looking for something that when she uses the device it will contact me via text/voicemail or some other rapid response.

Have any of you come across such a product

    Cheers
    Noel

THis might seem like a smartass answer, but it is genuinly not intended to be. Have you considered a standard mobile phone, with your number programmed on all keys as a speed-dial? The challenge might be to ensure that it is kept charged and in credit.

Have a look at http://www.assistireland.ie/index.asp?locID=181&docID=6533 for more details on different types of alarm systems.

I came across a mobile phone which has been designed for people who have reduced agility/sight/older people. The website address is http://www.emporia.at

It might be of some use to you.
