    Hey,

this is a longshot I know but I am looking for a mounted frame which has the old Irish £1, £5, £10, £20 and £50, like this one.

I know I can buy them seperate but it would be handy to have them mounted in a frame!

Sorry if this is the wrong place but I have looked everywhere!!

    Cheers

    Branners

There's a place in Cathedral street called Cathedral Stamps above a sports shop/across the road from the Revenue Comm offices off O'Connell Street
that does all sorts of stamps, coins and notes.
They might have that sort of thing.

All those collections of framed notes, are not actually real notes, but digital prints. Don't know of any shops selling them, but for a while, there was a great trade for hawkers peddling them to all the pubs. You should be able to find them somewhere....

I bought some old notes from that shop before.
Couldn't think of a pressie for me old man and somebody suggested buying him notes with his year of birth on them, even got one with his dob on it.
They deffo have original notes, not sure if they do the framed prints though.

Thanks for the advice lads.. I want original notes so I'll take care to make sure that they are all originals!!

Any idea how much old notes these cost??

    I had planned on spending appox €200 for the mounted frame with a £1, £2, £5, £10, & £50!

Would the notes on their own be around €130 or so??

Depends on the condition of the notes.

let us know how you get on what it, I'd be interested in something like that myself. I live too far from Dublin to have checked before tbh. Was there not a framed collection released by the Central Bank at the time the Euro was introduced?

you could very easily go here
download the pics yourself into a .jpg doc and get them printed.
Nice black background & buy a frame.

    hey presto.

If you're going down the DIY route, more images of Irish notes can be copied from here.

Am hoping to get originals, I have the number of a couple of collector shops will give them a shout tomorrow to see if they have anything!

If I have no joy I might go down the printing them myself route!

    Cheers for the advice lads!
