recommendations for sky+ box

    lads im going to get another sky plus box

    my other one is on its last legs

    just a few questions

    and recommendations for a sky plus 160gb box

    whats a good make (ie thomson,pace etc)and where to buy it

    Yes you can, when you ring sky to pair up the card simply tell them that you dont want to subscribe to HD at the moment.
    You can still tune in BBC HD if you feel the need for HD.

    are you sure you can
    ill be connecting by hdmi will that be ok

    its a 160gb hard drive right

    how much of that can i use for recordings

    SkyHD has a 300GB Maxtor drive, though it's partitioned, and only 160GB is available for personal recording.

    i bought a SKY PLUS HD 300GB THOMSON DSI 8215 box

    cant wait
    got it at a good price too

    i hope its a good box

    Those boxes seem good enough (so far anyway).

    AFAIK, they're the only type of SkyHD box available at present.
