    Bro in law is over from NY for 2 weeks and i want to bring him to a gig in Dublin.

    Likes punk and metal, generally rock music.

    Is there any good gigs on in dublin over the weekend or next weekend? Ideally a club with a decentish live band.

    afaik, tonight in fibber magee's there's some metal night on (10 bands). €10 at the door, then €3 a drink...

    Fibber MaGees, on next Sunday, the 8th, the Trivium aftershow party, there's 2 really good bands playing FranticA, a Metallica tribute band, and Heresy, heavy metal band, both very good, and always really get the crowd going, then on the monday night, FranticA are back, with another band, can't remember the name of them right now but are very good afaik

    I think the other band Le Rack could be talking about could well be Angry Chair, an Alice in Chains tribute band.
