Anyone know if ther's anywhere that will take trade in's of pc's against newer models or laptops?

Not for me as I'm surrently rebuilding but my oul fella has volunteered my services to his mate who wants to get rid of a 3yr old packard bell.. Barely used with all peripherals and a set of brand new unopened speakers.. My gut is telling me this is going to be hard to shift so I thought I'd check and see if anyone knows of a place that does trades?

    Cheers

I have never head of a place that does trade ins. Unfortunately PCs are almost worthless second hand. Especially if over 2 years old.
He will just have to sell it privately and take whatever he can get for it.

Maybe try selling it on adverts.ie.

PC's are obsolete within months, if not weeks of buying. There is always something new out and the €2000 PC you just got is now not even worth half that because whats in it has been slashed in price.

    Much worse.
I would have no problem driving around in a car that was made in 1994, once it was in good condition.

But a computer from 94 with a 386 processor is worthless to just about everyone even if it was in perfect condition.
