    wireless nw at home.
    Client A wired to router.
    Client B wireless
Set up some folders as shares on client A, full control granted to user logged in from Client B. Works fine, can see shares and full RW access with no issue. Heres the problem....
Connect external drive to Client A, G: assigned. Configure G: as shared, full control as per others, Client B can see the share as the G: when viewing shares available on Client A but cant open it with permissions error. Is there a limitation with sharing external drives? client A is win 2k, client B is xp.

I don't have a lot of time to go into this now but just want to tell you that this is possible. I have this setup at home. Wireless network, external USB drive to client A. A few directories shared out and all of them can be accessed from Client B.

Just make sure that when you are creating the shares that you give the proper permissions. As mine is on local network, I have FULL RIGHTS to EVERYONE. I also have a very long WPA passphrase [although this isn't 100% secure].
