Just had a look at the course requirements and proficiency in Irish Sign Language is a requirement.
Candidates will be selected by interview; criteria for selection will include proficiency in Irish Sign Language and likely capacity to satisfy the academic requirements of the course.

The sign language club in TCD provides training up to that level, so you could do something else while attending the classes. I'm the secretary of the sign language club this year, so if you have any questions, just ask.

This may be insensitive but... remember the smiling hands club in Napolean Dynamite? That was hilarious. Is the club in Trinity anything like this? If it is, sign me up!!

Why don't you sign up (ho ho, I pun) and find out?
That is to say, it may or it mayn't be. You'll see, won't you? I can promise lots of fun though. We're going to be a lot more prominent this year as a society. Wait and see, or you can come in and see it all from the inside....

No experience needed, the beginner's class starts from scratch. I'll be at the stand on monday and tuesday, so if you have any questions, feel free to come up and ask. :) It's a good society for making friends, we're having a get together on Thurs at Messrs Maguire's at about 8pm, come along. Everyone's very friendly, so don't worry about feeling left out. Just say hi to someone (me!) and I'll tuck you in under my wing and you'll be grand!

Oi! Boards Beers is probably on the Thursday. I appreciate you're not going to pick Boards over Sign Language Soc, so you'll have to re-schedule that ;).
