Paypal chargeback...

Okay I'm in the middle of a dispute with an eBay seller, who's goods I didn't receive. I've gotten back onto them and queried it, they've said it was mailed etc.
Since the item was insured, I'm intending on claiming the loss back, but as it was mailed from the US, the seller needs to do this and isn't replying to my mails. Ebay resolution thing is unlikely to work as the item is now over 90 days old (it was sent surface mail which can take up to that), so I'm looking at trying to chargeback through paypal...I know that it's not just as simple as saying I want my money back and getting it, so just how do I go about the process.
Also has anyone on here done this before with any success? The sum involved is only about €50 but still want it back...

Have a look in this thread and see mickoneill30's post to see what he did. Seems the chargeback worked. I know Paypal's policy is that they "don't accept chargebacks" but just because they say it doesn't make it true. Send all details to your bank/provider and ask them to investigate. Say you can't dispute the charge with Paypal now as they don't allow it after 90 days (which is ridiculous IMO).

Ah never thought about doing it with CC company...and am only now discovering that paypal require you to open a dispute after something like 45 days.
It's strange too....when I input the item# into their system the item description comes up so it's not as if the item isn't verifiable.

I'll take a read of that other thread now, thanks.
