...a few of us here in South Kerry have mulled over this one for a while. Live in an area with loads of British who are interested in the game, and needless to say the impetus provided by the exploits in the WC have brought in a lot of locals who have expressed an interest. We have the use of the local football (soccer) pitch whenever we want. Unfortunately, not all prospective members are au fait with the rules, those of us who are followers are not au fait with the techniques, and equipment is non existant.

Any tips on (i) where to contact to get equipment together and (ii) a good coaching video to impart the basics?

you should contact the Munster Cricket Union - they'd be pleased to advise & assist you. Check out http://www.cricketeurope2.net/MUNSTER/DATABASE/THEMCU/addresses.shtml
for a list of email addresses.
