Hi there folks, its been a long long time since i wrote anything at all, but browsing over some of the posts here kind of inspired me so i took half an hour to jot something down. Hi there folks, its been a long long time since i wrote anything at all, but browsing over some of the posts here kind of inspired me so i took half an hour to jot something down.

Ecstasy and Agony

Everyone was so friendly that night
Handshakes, embraces, kisses and smiles
The music was outstanding, and the lights!
So many colours, bouncing off the walls
I was beginning to feel around ten feet tall!

Suddenly, she appeared on the floor
Her hair, those eyes, that smile
Everything about her I came to adore
We danced, and we laughed
Everything perfect, we both wanted more

Then the music stopped, something wrong
As she dropped, hit the ground
Hair dulled, eyes blank, smile gone
She jerked, and she rolled
The DJ had played her final song

I’ll never forget that night
Ambulances, doctors, nurses, police
Distant sirens, and blue flashing lights!
Emergency room full, drunks bouncing off walls
I had never, ever, felt so small
