Did anyone see this last night? It featured Samantha Mumba. I have to say, although it seemed to work out ok for her in the end, I don't think she came out of it well AT ALL. She seemed to be very up herself, for the level of success she's achieved, I think she needs a reality check. I hate sounding like a typical begrudger - I applaud talent, esp. if it's irish, but as i say she came across as someone you'd see on stage with the Beatles or U2. As someone said during the show "What happened to Samantha Mumba - who gives a toss?"

Damn, I meant to watch this! Did it say anything about her cancelled show in Vicar Street cos of poor ticket sales? How did she react?

yeah - originally the show was HG's idea, but they sold something like 24 tickets, so he wanted to pull it quietly, so as not to attract bad press. She refused, and went on a PR blitz, which had the effect of selling zero tickets and when they pulled the gig, it was all over the papers. Interestingly, when she went on the late late, she said that the rumours of poor ticket sales were "exaggerated in the papers, we've sold way more than the papers say we have" - looks like she was lying.

It was a load of bollocks.

Goldsmith spent half the show waiting in hotel foyers and peoples living rooms for this princess to turn up. Yet whenever she was around she acted like she really needed a dig out with her career (both finally and contacts wise). So who exactly needed whos help here?

The whole thing just didn't make any sense from start to finish. I'm sure this had to be in truth some form of mockumentary, right?

I saw it all and she appeared to be just a diva who thought she had it made and could'ent see why she had to make such an effort.

I'd say she would be impossible to work with because she think's she so great and a superstar but her singing was a bit crap and she has very little likeability factor. In the after show she decided to start fights with people instead of being diplomatic and damage limitation.

This show for her now seems like a mistake for her professional career but she'll probably get offered "Celebrity Big brother" or "I'm, a celebrity" to further he career.

I feel a bit sorry for her. She had good success in the beginning and her first single got into the top 5 in America. Then it just all went wrong...
