Anyone interested in a Playstation Lottery - €15 a Ticket

    Okay, I was thinking that alot of people here may be dreaming of getting a Playstation 3 but can't because of the rediculously high price.

    After being approached by a local school selling €20 tickets for one, I thought it may be an idea to get together and have a "not-for-profit" draw for one ourselves.

    I was thinking maybe something along the lines of everyone being assigned a number between 1 and 45 and then us selecting a lotto draw. Then, depending on what the bonus ball is, the person gets the PS3 ordered for them.

    A PS3 with game costs €665 at http://www.toys.ie/ which would leave the tickets costing €15 each. People could buy any number of tickets to give them a better chance of winning.

    One problem would be getting the money sorted out... someone whom we can trust would be required to hold onto the money until the draws over and they would be charged with ordering the PS3 and arranging delivery. The money could be lodged into their bank account or something (another idea I had was to lodge it into someones PaddyPower poker account - which you can do at any PaddyPower bookies by handing them the €15 and writing the person handling the moneys' username on the bookie slip).

    Would their be any interest in this? I know most of us haven't won anything worth talking about in our lifes but that's cause most tickets we buy are to raise money for some GAA club or something and your chances are greatly reduced but every euro that goes into this will go towards buying a PS3.

    You know the last raffle i was at the people who organised it actually won so its not unusual for that type of thing to happen.

    That's the purpose of having it as the bonus ball in the lotto... so it can't be fixed...

    Not sure who'd be responsible for collecting the money... I would be willing to volunteer but it'd probably be better if someone with alot more posts to their name done it to give people a bit of peace-of-mind as to their trustworthiness... It would also be an added benefit if they had a PaddyPower account or would be willing to set one up so that people could pay the €15 at the bookies on a weekend instead of trying to get to the bank on a workday.

    If anyones willing to volunteer that meets the above criteria, post a reply and we could try and get something sorted.. Otherwise, we'll see if we can get 45 people to part with €15 into my PaddyPower account....

    Then we'll set up a list like that below where everyone can select a number..
