Is there a folding team for the boards.ie ps3 people or boards.ie in general? Does anyone here even contribute?

How do you set up a team, and does that mean you just all work on the one area?

Ahhhh, got it sorted. I have set one up for the ps3 leagues site so if anyone wants to join the team the number is: 61714

In a nutshell, you're running simulations of protein folding, eventually (hopefully) leading to further understanding of diseases like cancer.

Everyone all over the world has all this processing power going spare, when you're not doing anything or not doing anything intensive. In the project, you're helping them run these simulations, everyone does a little chunk of the work so to speak.

The teams mean that you're listed as part of a certain group, so that group contributes a certain amount of the work, you get ranked and the group lists all the members and how much work they have completed. Mostly it's for a bit of friendly competition.

You can run it on your PC, that's why there's a Boards.ie group already.
