REQ: Self Catering Apartment/Holiday homes ?

    Hi Folks,

Was trying to find a self-catering apartment somewhere worth visiting in Ireland [approx. <= 80-100 miles from Limerick] for 5-7 days between April 1st and 16th - For two adults and one infant.

Clifden, Ring of Kerry, West Cork - anywhere with scenery, walks, decent restaurants etc. etc.

    - Have been looking but having no luck - the beady eyed folks of Rip-off Rep. polish their greasy tills feverishly in anticipation of the Easter break it seems - with some truly unbelievable prices being quoted :(

Any suggestions would be appreciated - or other booking resources [that don't 404 on step 8 of the booking process  ] avenues I could try etc.

    Thanks !!!

Make sure you bring plently of groceries with you! Brought the wife to Kerry a few years back and we could have had a week in Spain for the cost of two days in Kenmare, even pub grub was outrageous. We didn't even get to see the scenary due to mist and rain! Never again...

I've used Dream Ireland before (not the cheapest usually), but they do have a page of easter specials: http://www.dreamireland.com/special_offers/index.689.php#spesh_id_689

PS The Fáilte Ireland site also usually has a good list - but most don't support online booking so you'll need to ring around: http://www.ireland.ie/

We have used Dream Ireland before (and will do so this year). They are open to negotiation on the price but Im not sure what they have in the region you are looking at.

Thanks for the replies folks - Went via Dreamireland - were not flexible re. final figure [Easter so no bargaining leverage !] - but happy with the location and the deal.

    Appreciate the help ;)
