with support - fight like apes. i think someone on the boards is a member of fight like apes.

anyways, i know i annoy some of you with my underageism but is the hub an over18s place too? if so, a string o bad luck for me. about 5 artists, that i listen to heartily, have passed through ireland in the past 6 months, all playing such venues :(:(:(

    thoughts?

I had a listen to these guys (new album) for the first time today. First impressions are only alright, nothing setting the fire ablaze. Quirky poppy-rock music w/ Daft Punk-like vocoders.

This gig has been moved to Whelan's, I think.

It has been moved yeah and Whelans will prolly be harder for you to get into, you'll just have to face that you can't see these acts now

until every good venue stops having a bar, or i get old enough to drink.

freakscenery, listen to fun trick noisemaker. but new magnetic wonder alone shouldve opened your eyes to the might that is apples in stereo. and yes, quirky is what they are

    Little harsh, no? :p

Man, I just think back on the days as a kid when all you needed was a guardian to get into gigs like these. Now it doesn't make a difference to me but for guys like potw, t'would be great if they brought that back in.

    (I'll update the thread title.)

It's true man, I felt ****ty when I missed all the gigs I wanted in Whelans but anyone who campaigns for all ages gigs and such give up when they turn 18 and then realise they don't what kids at their gigs, simple! EVERYONE has to wait before they can go to all the gigs they want, it's not just the current generation of underagers

I started going to gigs in Whelan's when I was 15 but they stopped letting me in when acoustic Sebadoh played there.

Ah well, at least I tried.
