Why is framing so expensive? Place on Dawson Street quoted me 180 euro yesterday to frame an A2 page! Another place in Ranelagh today said 120. That is mental. Is there anywhere reasonable in Dublin?

    large frame maybe?

Why not just go to a house store, look for an A2 picture frame and do it yourself?

That's what I was thinking. There's no way I'd pay that kind of money to have something framed.

You could try Central Framing at the top of Capel Street, where it meets Bolton Street.

Yeh..... it wouldn't occur to me to pay somebody to frame something... Just buy the frame and shtick the picture in!

    At a guess -

They're a business, framing doesn't generate a whole load of business in itself (few if any regular customers, sporadic/periodic/irregular sales etc) so to maintain costs and turn a profit they've to charge what would appear to be a significant amount.
    Just a guess though.

Oh the difference. I got an A2 size picture framed in January in Strabane for the princely sum of £20.00. This was a specialised framing shop.
