Time on wrt54g

I am having problems setting the timezone on my router. It is a Linksys wrt54g v2 which I have for quite a while. I want to implement access control based on time and have set the timezone to UTC+1. I am running DD-WRT v24 beta. The ntp server is set to ntp.maths.tcd.ie. On the status page it doesn't show the current time.

Any ideas how I can fix it?

v24 is still beta, maybe revert to V23 sp1 which is more stable.

I was using v23 while the problem first came up. There was no difference in the way it treated time. I notice that I'm on the chello.ie WAN (ntl). Could this have any baring? I have had a look at the ntl modem but that doesn't appear to show a time function.

The status page on the router web application is now showing the time at UTC although I have set the config to UTC+1.

Try another time server, here's one i use, ie.pool.ntp.org

I have tried that one now. Still showing UTC though. What is "local time" (which I have left unchecked)?

    maybe that's Greenwich mean time.

I've got a very similar router, linksys wrt54g, hardware ver 2.2

You can get open source 3rd party firmware updates for that router.
    I'm running "v4.71.1, Hyperwrt 2.1b1 + Thibor15c [May 12 2006]".
I have a drop down list of timezones, with GMT (England) set, and it has correctly adjusted for daylight savings hour.

In fact, there's two checkboxs in the web based admin page...

    1. Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes
    2. Automatically update time using NTP

    I've both of them enabled.

    regards,
    Owen

Thanks Owen. I downloaded hyperwrt and flashed the router. It is now showing the correct time.
