I've tried twice, been waiting for 3 months this time. Now I'm fed up with it; couldn't bother me arrse (www.arrse.co.uk). That's the Brit Army unofficial website - far friendlier, easier, and lots more fun.

    So there ya go.

Cheers for this, but yes I've checked my junk box - only 2 mails have EVER gone there - both from boards.ie (& both within the last few weeks).

Maybe they think that they are so security aware that they are shiXXin in their pants afraid of the COS that he will speak about them in the way he spoke about bebo.

LOL, IMO has been on the Armys radar alot longer then Bebo and the rest. Its part of the secuity brief in certain military installations and people have been brought in and hauled over the coals about what they have said on there. In saying that they the site its self has never had any major problems with the DF, they moderate anything Op Sec and everything else is open season.

There's no moderation of muppets on Bebo and youtube and they both seem to attract them in their droves, posting up pics and vids that make me cringe when i think these peopel have anything to do with the DF.

As the main running force behind IMO it falls upon me to comment on this thread.

We have initiated over the last few years a procedure where we manually vet all new registrations. However sometimes a few of the registrations will fall through the cracks and not be approved generally because the email address used looks like an address that would be used by a spammer.

If you are still having difficulties, having tried to reregister, please email webmaster@irishmilitaryonline.com or pm me.

    Shane

boomer_ie when this forum was started I was contacted by Irishmilitaryonline and told in no uncertain terms that you wanted no links from this forum to your site.

In view of this do you wish me to delete your email link for you or have you changed your policy on this?

    Please advise.

I'm curious, why the request in the first place?

IMO has become the target of attackes from anti-mil types in the past due to links being posted on other sites. Boards in the past has been very lefty and there has been crossover of muppetsa nd arm chair generals who have never seen let alone worn a uniform of the state. Hagar has a good rein on thing on this forum though, I love the Walt sub board :D

Until you have posted more than 20 or 25 times, each one of your posts has to be approved by a mod. If they're not around then there can be some delay. This is to help reduce spamming on the site.
