    What do you think yourself?

There's a 47 year old lady from the States in my final med class.

Will she get a job when she is finished at that age.
Are you studying in Hungary ?

    I'm in UCD.

Since she's American, and with no EU passport, she's unlikely to get an intern job in Ireland, given the pressure on intern spots in the next few years. In terms of applying for jobs higher up the ladder, I don't know whether you'd legally be allowed to deny her a spot on the SHO/higher training scheme.

No, but spots are highly competitive anyway; they wouldnt need to say why they rejected her (of they do), but I dont know.

I know of people older than 36 doing medicine too.

Yes, they are. However, if you did your medical degree there and wanted to come back to practice in Ireland, you'd have to get registration with the IMC which takes time and money. But that's the same whether you train in the UK/Hungary/Australia...

Also, these eastern european "english speaking" medical schools...read the small print...you are expected to be fluent in the language of the country you're studying in by 3rd year, you are expected to converse with and examine patients from 3rd year - possibly earlier.

I was going to go abroad if I didn't get medicine here. In fact I was pretty sure I'd have to do it but just scraped through. Techtom have you not considered doing the leaving cert, using whatever qualifications and knowledge you have to date to back you up?
Or do you have a primary degree that you might be able to go down the graduate route? And don't some UK colleges offer some sort of access programs for people with unsuitable academic qualifications??

    I have a B.Sc. in Computers. I have A Biology(H) ~ 430 Points. I have A Chemistry(O).

Is learning Hungarian tough ? Does anybody know of anyone studying in Hungry that I could talk to ?
