Id go with the LE simply cause of more memory will come in handy at higer resolutions!

If you going to be using it on a small monitor I would go with the other one!

I'd go with the GT :D

Out of interest what do you hope to be doing with the cards? The 7300, whatever version, isn't a great card.

No way - the 7300Gt without a doubt! The 7300LE is not only a poor card, but the 512mb memory is utterly useless as it can't utilize it anyway....essentially it's a marketing ploy.

The 7300GT will probably offer as much as 40-50% increase in performance. If its a ddr3 model if can be overclocked extremely well to raise that figure to probably about 90%. But even if it's a basic ddr2 7300Gt, it's infinitely better then it's LE counterpart.

For comparison a 7300Gt is about the same as a 6600GT, whereas the 7300Le probably compares to something like a 6500 from the previous series.

Hey again lads thanks for the fast replies.

This is the full title of the GT gfx card

"Gainward GeForce Bliss 7300GT 256MB DDR3 PCIE Dual DVI GLH"

Does that make this debate any better??
So I should stick with GT card? It's only costing €130.

    I will be using a 19" monitor..

Yeah. It's one of the better 7300GT's. It's twice the card the 7300LE is to be honest. There is no reason you should take the LE unless it's for a basic home desktop which doesn't play games.

And only 130? That's more then a 7300GT is worth to be honest. You can get cards twice as powerful for about 70-100 euro on adverts.ie

If you want to buy new, you'd get a better card then that for 130. A 7600GT which is another huge jump up is only about 150.

Where are you getting it for 130?

€130 is madness. Don't pay that much for that pile o' ****e.

For only €3 extra (yes, €3 plus €10 p&p) you can get the fancy (depending on your needs) 7600GT. I'm a moderate/ high games user and this is the card I have and it is wonderful.

Okay that was a misprint, was supposed to be €120 and it's from galaxy.ie
I know there are cheaper sites out there but
I only deal with them because of their support for laser cards.
(Don't trust myself with a credit card just yet...)
Guess I'll be sticking with the GT then (Will be less work for me that way anyway!)
    Thanks man

That's a shame. The 7300GT is an ok card especially the one you've mentioned but a 7600GT really puts it to shame for the negligible price difference.

I have to agree with havok, for the extra €20 - including p&P - (have you factored that into your price?) you will get a much better card.

Using Toms hardware benchmark tests, the 7600GT outperforms the 7300GT by over double on a game like Halflife 2. That's 96fps to 40fps, which is poles apart in terms of performance.

Whatever you choose, I hope it works out for you.

    Thanks to all.

    Last word;

Will keep the GT card and upgrade within a couple months!

Man if you don't trust yourself with a credit card check out 3V It's worth the effort.. Like the lads said above, for an extra €20. I recently rushed into a graphics card and its annoying the crap out of me now.

7600 GT (2 of them...) I really wasn't thinking future proofing with DX10 etc... Now I wish I had taken my time more..

Well if you sell them now, even a single 7600Gt still fetches a semi decent price...Better sooner then later!

That's the plan bro. Gonna try get rid of them asap!

I bought the 7600GT last year for €220 - it's has been a great card and is still holding up quite well. It is slippling out of the midrange of cards - but it's still pretty good with half life 2 and decent with Oblivion (away from the great forest). OP, if you can upgrade for the extra €20 then go for it.
