    *Bump

I'm planning on doing something similar in September so I'd be interested in hearing a few peoples experiences too.

India is cool but hard going, polluted and smelly too, but its real backpackn!!! SE Asia is brilliant, especially Laos. Personally i'd do 3 - 4 months in SE Asia and just hang out in places (Phi Phi Island Thailand!!!!!!!) A month in India if you can hack it - then into Tibet and China for a while and then head into Sth East Asia, then from Bangkok to a month in NZ(ur money will burn!) and then onto Sth America, where i have never been but can only imagine it would be brilliant.

Yeah was only planning to spend maybe 2 weeks in NZ, catch up with a mate who lives in Auckland.i imagine it would eat into the funds alright. i not sure which way i will go first, head east via India or west via s America. prob depend on time of year to allow for the climates in each place (cant handle too much heat)

just wondering if anyone knows what the best time to go is, in relation to getting tax back from the government. someone told me if you go, say in september you can claim all your tax back that u paid during the year since january. does this mean also that if i went in january that i could only claim back tax paid since the start of the year? dont really know much about this

You don't really need a new thread for this..in fact, it's probably not even a question for this forum.

    Merged threads anyway.
