Waterproof Laptop cover

    So my boss has refused to allow me to buy a waterproof laptop on the grounds that it was three times the price of a dell.

    But i need to use the laptop to download information from a tide gauge which is in quite an exposed area. It will be windy, open to sea spray and rain.

    Not sure if it is possible, purely from a heat/ventilation stand point...

    But is there any such thing as a see thru laptop cover so that i could the laptop out in the wind and rain?

    Any suggestions on where to get one if it exists?
