    Hi

Does anyone know of anyone reliable selling Merc (w114) parts?

I tried to clean the reflective surface behind my headlight (what is that component called anyway?) the other day with a wet sponge and some of the silver came off! Is this normal?

Anyway I either need to replace that part or have it resurfaced.

    Thanks

Cormee i think its called (surprisingly) the reflector. I would recommend Ben at www.lichtenberg-classics.ie He's a nice guy, total MB nut.
Alternatively try Mercman - not sure of address but he's in Southampton, UK, a google should find him.
Have you a saloon or coupe? I've a 230.6 saloon meself

    Hi TC,
Thanks. The car is actually booked in for a visit to Ben in the next few weeks (just waiting for his call) for some work! He's quite busy so theres a 4 week wait. It will be great to have her in good running nick in time for the summer.

I have the coupe. Great fun!

Cool...i love the coupes, but there wasnt a good one around when i was buying, so i went for the 4door (the first of my stable, hopefully ;) )
250CE, 280CE? Colour? Where did you pick her up, and have you had the car awhile?

Yeh, I'm hoping this one won't be the last too! Would love a Pagoda someday.

    This is her below:

(Pic taken by the previous owner) Bought in Brighton 2 summers ago. Spent the first summer getting a load of stuff done to her, then (through my own stupidity) I blew the gasket last summer, would be great to get a trouble free summer out of her after Ben does his stuff.

I just took her out for the first time this year last weekend, what a buzz!

You could always buy them yourself..........http://www.sls-hh-catalogue.de/bin/dbframes.phtml?mid=IN09

......not sure if its exactly the same but I have used this parts on W114/115's before.

Just email them an enquiry with your chassis number and state RHD to be sure !
