    Hello,

Just wondering what is involved in creating a search engine for a website? Do you use java script to write the code for it or how is it done?

    Cheers
    Conor

It depends on how the website is built, and what kind of data is being searched. If your site runs off a database it's very easy to set up a search function for your site. If not, it's a lot more difficult...

You would presumably also need to remove HTML results from the search results i.e. if someone searched for table then you don't want <table> being selected as a relevant result
