    Hi,
Can anyone recommend a decent site for finding job vacancies in Canada & Australia? My wife and I are considering leaving Ireland to live and work on further shores and I just want to get an idea for job availability salary averages etc...
    thanks!

What might be a good idea is to give a couple of the 'better' (not much diffference really between the lot of them) agencies a call, and ask if they could recommend any International ones, that specialise in your field ... Then work from there.
Mind you, we moved first, and did the research later
    Good luck !

To work in Australia you need a visa.

If you are under 30 you can get a 1 year working holiday visa. and you can now work up 6 months with 1 employer.

If you are over 30 you can only come and work in Australia if you can prove you are of use to the country. This can be a difficult process unless you have a useful trade or profession.

    eg.
    Doctor or Nurse
    Engineers
    Plumbers

All these are in big demand other trades are accepted but more difficult to secure recidency.

    try www.immi.gov.au for more info.
