    3 handed on Final Table

    Payout 480, 320 & 220 or thereabouts

    Approx chip counts

    Button 18000
    SB 30000
    BB 42000

Not played much with BB but seems solid enough

    Blinds 1000, 2000

    Button Folds
I'm in the SB with AQo and raise to 8000. I've done this the last 2 rounds of the table (once with AK & once with air) , and hes folded. This time he's re-raises all in

    Whats my move?

Thanks in advance for any replies

I call here. Its irrelevant what you had the last 2 times you raised if you didnt show, so the BB is probably making a stand and he doesnt need a hand thats big enough to crush AQ to do this.

I'm only playing for 1st here so i'd be willing to race for 80% of the chips in play especially with the blinds at 1k/2k

Easy call, pray for a suck out the rare times your up against a hand that beats you (I'm assuming this is one such case judging by the fact you posted it, or did you fold?). Most of the time he'll have some dominated ace rag, perhaps even air depending on the player.

    ...

without a shadow of a doubt this is a call, he'll shove with Ax,K10+ and you should be dominating him

Thanks for the responses guys - like to seek re-assurance I did the right thing every now & again!!

My line of thought was (as Lloyd & Flushdraw said) that I wanted the win, so If anyones interested I called & he had KK

Flop came 9 10 J all spades & I had the Ace of Spades (he had the K) so if my calculations are correct I had 16 outs at that point - turn 2h, river 2d!!

He then proceeded to donk all his chips to the other guy and finished 2nd!!

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'm actually honured I got more than a 1 word response from Valor :D
