How's my blending?

One, or rather two, photos from this morning. Shot handheld and blended (thank you Julie) by gradient mask, I'm not sure if the sky really matches the ground. I took the underexposed photo, dropped it's exposure more, blended in the sky in CS3 and then dodged it to bring it back up. I really feel the sky doesn't have as much impact as the ground, no matter what I try, though.

very nice - but you're never going to get much drama from a featureless sky.

I think it's less of the blending and more to do with the colour. Tis a little grey, in the top half of the sky - you might get away with a more severe crop to halfway between the sun and the top edge. Loving that grass and misty horizon though... worth working at I think. You could also try applying a warm up filter to the top?

It's better in post processing, but I think the sky lacks it in the first place unfortunatly...

Personally, I think a lower angle might have worked?

Did a bit of design so here is my subjective opinion, I really like the grass texture and the light leading to the trees. the colour of the sky is really good but the striking sun is dominating and distracting and is at the fore of the photo (it looks imposed on top of the scene), maybe find some way to really soften it and send it back so that it is not the main feature of the photo?
