Looking for Accomodation in South Dublin City

    Hey all,
A friend and I are moving up to Dublin from the start of April to the middle of September working in Donnybrook and are currently looking for accommodation for 2 people. Since d4 has very expensive rents we were looking at d6, specifically Milltown, Ranelagh and Rathmines. However, it looks like we'd have to get 2 bus trips to get to donnybrook from there. Ideally we want to keep rent below the 160 a week mark. Where would people recommend around Dublin that wouldn't have too long of a commute and is a nice area?
    Cheers guys, Eamonn

Just a quick point on the travel, from any of those places it'd be easier to walk than to take buses to Donnybrook. Ranelagh is very close and Milltown and Rathmines are about 30 mins walk away. Should be reasonably easy to get accomodation in Rathmines.

Where in Donnybrook? City end? Village? Montrose end?

    How about cycling?

I'm going to be working in Donnybrook House for Aib, I think thats in the village. Cycling would definitely be an option.

Ahh Rathmines is a great area, I lived there for about 3.5 years. Moving from our city centre apartment now in about a month and I know I'll be checking out what's available in Rathmines.
