P45 and holiday pay

I'm just looking for some advice here. In January I resigned from a bar that I was working in. Basically, there were issues with the hours I was working, I was been given too many shifts and when I asked for them to be cut down as I'm a student and was falling behind in college work, I was essentially taken off the roster.

I'm not complaining about that, but it's now two months later and my former employer has yet to give me a P45 or pay me the holiday pay that I'm entitled to. I've been onto them a number of times and eventually last week got onto the Revenue about my P45 as I need it in order to claim back emergency tax that I was charged. They're now looking after that for me.

My question is, is there an official body I can contact regarding the holiday pay that I am still entitled to?

Since you are a student, there is a probably a free legal aid centre in your college or university. Get in contact with them. You are entitled to 8% holiday pay.

You could contact the Dept. Of Enterprise, Trade and Employment also as this DEpt. lays down the regulations regarding holiday pay. They may be able to point you in the right direction.
