    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could help me out on this issue. Im basicly looking for a programme that would let me type of teams and dates of games and it will turn them into a fixture list.

Dont mind if it mite be something id have to pay a small fee for, but if i could get something similar for free that would be sweet.:D

Id be grateful of any help here.

    Cheers

Any particular reason you can't help publicly?

Sounds like he's going to knock something up for a small fee ;)

Take the spirit of the Open Source forum into account, perhaps?

Well Aidan, I offered to help, didn't PM him and to date, he hasn't replied. However, as you may be aware, there would be some work involved in this and he did suggest that he would pay a small amount if he had to. Now I wasn't neccessarily going to charge him but if I did decide to then it would hardly have been fair in him paying something and then it being displayed for anyone else to use for free. Funny how nobody else offered to help the guy but your happy to berate me for doing so....!
I'll not offer help to anyone else in the future so if this is the heavy handed approach that all Mods now take when you've nothing better to give out about. This place has to many chiefs at this stage!! Bring back the old days. :D

...or, y'know, don't take the spirit of the Open Source forum into account.

Guru Maith Agut, there was nothing heavy handed about the simple question I asked, and nothing heavy handed about this simple suggestion: read ESR's essays, starting with The Cathedral and the Bazaar, and come back to us.

There is nothing wrong with charging money for writing open source software,
but it's not open source unless you release the coding
