Sky HD Sata connection

Does anyone know if the SATA port on the back of the Sky HD box is usable for an external hard drive to increase recording capacity? Has anybody tried this? Cheers.:D

It hasn't been activated by the box's system software just yet. It may well be for what you describe. We'll just have to wait and see.
