Only game a day from here on in. Not a whole lot to say about this one, big game for Bangladesh as a win will see them through to the Super 8's for the first time.

    Thoughts?

    Updates here tomorrow.

Should be only one winner of this match. Cant see how bermuda could upset bangladesh. They'll need and a dwayne leverock five for... and some more of his brilliant slip catching of course!:D

I wonder what Indian team was doing yesterday? Coaching Bermuda team may be? Well, even if they were to play for Bermuda themselves, they probably wouldn't get them thru! It should be a good match today!

End of the day, India is out. Bangladesh worked hard (at least against India - they were brutal against SriLanka), and they deserves to be in Super 8.

This is so like Leinster Junior Cricket,

No crowd, little atmosphere, crap weather, dragging covers on & off, plenty of hanging around and a similar standard when play does eventually get under way.

Bermuda emerging for the nth time. Chances of no more rain?

They've just said on tv that if it does rain again they'll be back tomorrow but only to finish the 21 over game they're playing now. Seems like a waste of the rain day and a bit unfair to Bermuda( and India)

Bermuda 52/5. Game reduced to 21ovs

    Bermuda 94-9 (21ovs)

94-9 off their 21 ovs. Probably will get a few more off D/L.

Will be interesting to see what target Bangladesh are set off their 21 ovs under D/L

Bermuda should have held on to the last two or three wickets, might have worked in their favor with D/L method.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,601 ✭✭✭Marshy

Seems to be no change, 95 needed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,430 ✭✭✭positron

Okay, I give up - I don't understand D/L method. This decision is clearly in favor of Bangladesh (I am not saying that because I support India, Bangladesh deserves a place in Super8) but they, right from the beginning know their target and that there's only 21 overs to play. Bermuda wasted a lot of time assuming that there would be 50/40/30 overs to play.

Ah well, its a mad game anyway!

Oh, looks like Bangladesh would make get all they need in the first over itself - its just going on and on and on... :D

Great catch there! Ban 6-1 now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

16 NB in those 37. my god thats terrible, considering mukuddem is currrently on 3 for 8 from 3.1 overs (im on skysports pages, so i assume im probaby about 10-15 minutes behind the actual game :))

It's currently only 3nb, but 11 wides and 4 byes. 18 out of 45 are extras. Pretty damn poor.

Bangladesh getting quite lucky here. Have skied the ball a few times and got away with it, had an edge or two go through the gap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,601 ✭✭✭Marshy

Bangladesh through, though quite unconvincing in the run chase. India officially out now.

am delighted to see bangladesh through. i think ireland have a great chance against them!
