Yeah this looks like old news (thank God). The Americans can **** off if they think they are going to ruin Father Ted. I think the idea was dumped altogether. Leave it alone, its a classic.

I believe there was already a remake of it. If it wasn't a remake it was a total rip of it. Think i was the dvd when i was in new york.

Agreed Ruu. Father ted was, is, and always will be a classic. For the yanks to try to remake it is sacrilige (sp?)

Surely that would be an ecumenical matter?

Maybe if they changed the religion, say "Rabbi Tedstein", involved Jackie Mason and perhaps Sascha Baron-Cohen, then maybe, just maybe, it could work.

I thought America was mainly Christian? C'mon you got George Bush, Dick Cheney, Hunting accidents, Brittany Spears, Comedy actors in their own right. I see a Sinead O'Connor angle at least with Britney, and some 'chavviness' as well, would probably be banned though as the Christian Democracy would find it offensive.....hmmmmnnn.
