    jackpot Thur night.

usual low standard on for 1/2 holdem game. i have about 220

I get qq in the small blind. 3 limpers to the button who makes it 11 to go. the villian is sittin on circa 900 and has been very loose. I make it 30 to go(comments) least one of the limpers to call and fully expecting the button to call with any two. all fold except the button who calls.

    Flop(70)
    k 10 6 rainbow.

i lead for 40?? he reraises to 125 i think about it for a while and fold. i know he doesnt have aces or kings cause he is re raising pre flop everytime. have also seen him consistently re raise on draws. any way i put him on a k and folded and was just wondering if anyone finds a call/re raise in this spot??

raise more p/f.around 40 is better.

if villian has been playing loose i probably check flop for pot control and take it from there.

as played looks like a fold.

    no. :)

    I'd check the flop.

    check fold?
not necessarily, depends. betting out is pretty pointless.

the only reason i asked is because he told me he had ace jack.
I bet out the flop because he bet everything and i bet the 30 if he didnt have anything i figured he'd fold

    he's prob lying!

he trys to bluffs u if u check, folds to a bet if he has nothing, calls/raises if he's ahead.so check.

phantom dont you think check fold here would be pretty bad against a loose player?

he probably has a fairly wide range to call a reraise in position and i can imagine such a player betting the flop a high % of the time when checked to.i think betting out is better than check folding tbh.

I didn't say check fold all the time, it depends on the player, some people I'd happily call down. against most players I'd call a flop bet anyway.

but he never folds a better hand if we bet, by checking we induce a bet, we then have to decide if it's a bluff or not!

leading out certainly makes it easier to play tho.

i certainly agree checking flop,i just wouldnt ever check fold vs said villian.

looking back i think flop bet looks kinda weakish too.50-60 would be better imo.

    more preflop for value

check the flop, betting this flop is really bad unless you think he will continue with worse

What if the board had been more draw heavy? Say with two suited or some connected cards?

Check call the flop reassess turn. Reraising preflop is fine against this particular guy. Betting the flop is bad for all the reasons already stated.

You probably still have the best hand, why would you want to give a free card rather than try to take the pot now?

If you bet, he will almost certainly fold all worse hands and only continue when we are totally crushed

If we check, he might bluff at the pot or check thru
Once we get to the turn, he is much more likely to call a bet with a worse hand

Free cards arent important here at all, if we are ahead he is drawing to like 2 outs usually

Yes of course, in this particular instance; what I was refering to was the case were you have a high pocket pair, the flop brings one overcard with a draw heavy board. You are still most likely the favourite and should probably move to chase off the draws.

Perhaps, depending on the exact texture of the flop, it may be more probably that your opponant has a king rather than a draw, in which case I'd imagine checking rather than attempting to immediatly take down the pot would be the correct line. Otherwise surely allowing yourself to risk being outdrawn for nothing cannot be correct. Exactly what the flop would have to be to raise rather than check is what I'm trying to establish.

first of all,i wouldnt classify this as a particularly draw heavy board.

and what happens if you bet the flop and he flat calls(as he can do with QJ or Kx)?youre now playing a very big pot oop vs a loose player with a marginal hand.

in this situation you don't need to "chase off the draws", you're not even thinking about draws here tbh.
