Hey, not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes.
I want to buy a printer, mainly for printing photos. Dedicated photo printers seem expensive and don't give much freedom with paper size so I'v decided to go for a quality printer instead. Should be handy to print off the odd document I need too :-)
So, I'v no idea what to look for in a printer. First off Inkjet or Laser printer? Brand? Canon, Epson, HP? What should I be looking for in a printer?
Aside from the basics, things like LCD screen, bluetooth connectivity, memory card reader would be handy. Is it realistic to think I could get a quality printer in the region of 150euro with these features?

    Thanks,
    Bacchus

    Looks good.

I was also looking at this one...

Bit over my target price but has higher resolution and scanner.

Do I need to consider ink cartridge prices? Do they vary much between manufacturers?

I like canon products but I don't like all in one jobbies, if one part fails your screwed. This happened to me a couple of years ago and I've used separate printer and scanner since.

This is just my opinion though.

Both Canon and Epson have seperate cartridges now so you only have to buy the one that is empty. Its always a good idea to see if you can get re manufactured cartridges though. I know all new canons require the cartridge to be chipped.

My father recently purchased the Canon MP600 and he couldn't be happier. It does everything it says pretty well and the photo printing seems pretty much perfect from what I have seen. Has the bonus of using separate ink tanks for each colour so should be cheaper to run.

Running costs can be phenomenal does this printer take an Epson cartridge Inkjet chip resetter?
