Available this Thursday 29th of March in Aldi.
    Selection of 4 65cl beers......
    Link
    * A Wheat Beer (4.5% ABV) which tends to be cloudy and is ideal with seafood
    * A Blonde Lager (6.4% ABV) which is refreshing and is generally drunk with an aperitif
    * The Brown Ale (6.4% ABV) possess a dark beige head and goes well with meat in sauces, cheese such as rocquefort and smoked fish, white meats, roasted and grilled red meats and caramelised desserts
    * Amber Beer (5.9% ABV)

Swing top bottles are great for homebrew and also the nice selection of beers to try.

Oooh! Well spotted. That's me heading down to Aldi.

I would advise people to get these now, if they are interested. Aldi did the excellent Batemans XXXB at one stage but just stopped. I don't know why. It seemed to be selling pretty well. I was buying it by the case.

Me too; latterly they have been stocking largers only. I shall pick up a few of this latest and quite interesting offer.

    Cheers.

No sign of these in Aldi, Parnell street.

They won't be on sale until Thursday. It's a weekly offer and not part of their regular stock.

I need the bottles and nice to try them instead of Grolsch!!!

Just drinking the Brown Ale at the mo.
    Its not bad.
Kinda reminds me of a bottle of stout.
    Wheat beer next.

I had the Wit beer and the Bruin last night.

The Wit is a nice, flavourful example of the style. Plenty of coriander and orange peel went into that one.

The brown is lovely. Very similar to Leffe Bruin, but I think it has a little bit more in the way of melanoidins, making for a nice full flavour.

Will try the other two this evening.

I put them in the fridge for a couple of hours, before I drank them. They weren't super chilled, by any means.

Might it have been my Three Bean Chilli recipe you were looking for?

I'm gonna need a stack of Becks to get rid of this one!

    Anyone find the same effect?

Switched my beers as well so I'd have 2 wheat & 2 blonde! The blonde was gorgeous and had quite a kick. Pity it was only a once-off as I'd love to buy more.

Happy Daze! Aldi on the Belgard Road had some left yesterday. Pologies to those who like the Blonde beer as I did a switcheroo! Twisted after only 2 of them. Happy Easter to me!
