Just wondering but is it better to ring up Sky directly or to go into a shop and get a registered Sky installer to install Sky.

Is there any price diff ? WOuld the shops be more expensive ?

One other question. I don't have a telephone socket where I want the TV to go. Will the Sky installer put a Telephone socket in the room for free as part of the standard installation ?

    Hi Niall,
There is no price difference in contacting sky directly or using an independent installer. If u have no phoneline then installation will not be free unless the phoneline connection is less than approx 5m away.

However u can pay for a manual activation fee of €37.50 and u wont need any phoneline for a standard box. However u will need a phone line for either Sky + Or Sky HD

    Regards,
    Steve
