Car trouble - can I claim from a dealer?

So, long story short - I bought a car (used) from a dealer, with 3 months warranty. The warranty has now expired.

I have just had the third clutch cable in less than 6 months snap on me. the last mechanic said it was due to a fault in the pressure plate in the actual clutch module, and that I would likely have to replace it.

While I realise that wear & tear stuff (i.e. snapping clutch cable) is not covered by warranty or anything like that, this is not simple wear and tear that is snapping the cables, it's a faulty clutch module. Do I have some leg to stand on if I return to the dealer and inform him that the car he sold me has a faulty clutch module?

You can't ask for legal advice on here Kila. Read the charter and PM me about amending your thread in compliance.
