A friend of mine decided she was going to quit her job. She handed in her notice and worked all of it except Friday (yesterday) and Saturday (today). She has rang them up today explaining she had left her uniform at work for them. The manager was obviously fairly steamed at her but said he wont give her her P45 until she returns the uniform personally.
Can he deny her her P45 for this reason?

Now, the query i have is, he said she wont be getting paid for the last day she worked, Thursday. He said its because she didnt work the last two days and they were not obliged to pay her for it.

    Can they actually do this?
Can they not pay her for work done?

    Cheers for any info
