I'm making the most of lady sun blessing us with her smile, so I've been out and about with my IR filter:

Love the first one fenster. Second one the wall kinda ruins it for me. Very nice work, love that IR filter :)

The wall rocks. Gotta get me one of these nifty filters. What exactly does it do, shift the IR part of the spectrum into visible light?

    Great shots Mark!

    Zillah: No.

It's a filter that only permits near-infrared light to pass (it's not true IR), meaning it's visually opaque. You can see through it on a really bright day, and it's trippy, but normally it's completely black, meaning you need to compose the shot and then attach the filter.

    Eh, which is a bitch.

The noise and the soft focus comes from the light itself. Most digital cameras have anti-IR baffles, as IR light causes horrible sensor noise and can soften focus. Which is exactly what happens when I shoot with an unmodded camera, fie.
