Please Help Me , PS3 Not Working

OK got home today and got ps3 at bout half 5 dying to play and guess what .. the ps3 isnt even showin up on my telly . dont tink its the telly because i changed to another tv and still no pic ..have the av plugged in firmly and not workin :mad: :mad: :mad: PLEASE HELP ME

Hold the power button for 5 seconds or till it beeps should 'reset' the display settings.

If that doesnt work and you're positive its not the cables etc then you will have to get Sony to replace it

OMG its still not workin .. i feel sick:mad: :mad: .ne other ideas?

Are you positive you have the yellow cable plugged into the yellow input on the TV and have the TV switched to AV.

If it is then I can't see anything other than return it.

Try another AV port if you have one. Are there any switches on the cable, possibly to switch between HD and normal mode?

no im using the normal av lead tat came wit it .. it is def plugged in right!!! im not using a hd tv..i dout its the tv ,this tv took the xbox 360

Bring it back to where you got it. Chances are they will have them in stock and they should exchange it for you.

i know i have it all packed away .. im goin in 2 gamestop 2morrow morning and hopefully i will get a new ps3

Best of luck dude, same thing happened to me with my 360 on launch day, something wrong with the video output.
GAME replaced it no bother but I had to wait over a week for them to get a replacement.

I know exactly what you mean by feeling sick, I was the same, and you've prolly paid more for the ps3 than i did for my 360......
my solution....go out and have a few beers, staying in will only make you worse.

Don't worry they will replace it

tanks but i went in dis morning and was told i was like the first one in ireland with a broken ps3 .. i was soo priviledged.. ah no but they gave me a brand new and its great
