HDMI problem

    I hooked the PS3 up with a HDMI cable but the picture is really faint.
    It worked a few times but is now faint again.
    Any help????

    Have you another device you can test the HDMI cable on?

    The screen turns a kind of red colour and you can hardly see the XMB.

    Anyone experiencing these problems???
    The XMB background is a pink/red colour.
    Games are the correct colours.

    Err the PS3 XMB background colour randomly changes colour, your's could simply be red/pink.

    Is the applications within the xmb displaying correct ? ie is the webbrowser showing the correct colours, is the playstation store showing correct. If so then it's simply as I've said above.

    However if the browser, photos, ps store are all red/pink, then there is a problem :(

    And NO you cant choose the colour for the xmb. They did say they were going to allow you customise it like a psp in the 1.60 update, but it never materialised
