Decided to try out a few games that are not on the PS3 backwards compatibility list. I started with Digital Devil Saga, got a message saying this game was not compatible, no surprise their. Put in Digital Devil Saga 2 and bang! Worked perfectly! Quite shocking. Also on the PS1 side of things I've found that despite not being listed Final Fantasy VII and VI both load no problem.

So it might be worth digging through you collections to see what works and what doesn't.

Once an internal memory card is created, Wipeout Fusion works fine, upscaled a little to boot.
Wipeout 2097 works with no upscaling.

The other two versions don't.
