I see Chartbusters are renting PS3 titles already

Was in the Lucan branch and saw they had a couple of PS3 titles behind the counter with the rental stickers on them 1 was Resistence the other was Tigerwoods 07 couldn't make out the other 2. Might be a clever ploy by Sony to get rentals out asap to help the Console gain market share quickly

Would someone buy or not buy a console because you can rent games?

Yeh, the Wii not being rentable was a major issue for me. I can't afford to buy lots of games, so I normally rent before I buy. The Wii not having this was a major issue, but I ultimately bought it because the console was cheap. If the console had been expensive, with no option for renting, I wouldn't have bought it.

I would presume you can rent the console as well. My mate rented one here today with 3 games for today and tomorrow. Cost €15 with a €500 deposit!

Can you download demos of Wii/PS3 games like you can on the 360?

Yes. Demos of F1, Motorstorm and Resistance are some that are there, at around 700MB's a go.

There are also games to buy and HD trailers
