We all know that passing wind is a fun and natural hobby, but do you have a belch that stands above the rest for any reason? Be that volume, consistency, timing, maybe even smell?

For me, I think my stand out was a loud but regular run of the mill hangover beer burp, but the timing was wonderful. Working in an IT sales call centre, I picked up an external call, and before I got to say my name, or good morning, this windy behemoth came flying out at a hearty volume, I would imagine surprising the caller on the other end. Of course, the natural reaction for me was to hang up immediately, as this isnt the type of thing you can really come back from on a sales call. Pretty good as well in that about 15 other people heard it too, and gave us all a good laugh. (one girl laughed so hearty she farted! Classy lady!!)
That one only just stands over the one I once done in a friends house that actually made his curtains and couch smell like egg for nearly two weeks!!

So what about you, do you have a gas based exhalations that makes you proud?

Very embarrassing one for me but one of which I'm secretly proud. It occurred as I stepped up to a microphone to give a presentation of some lab results to a room full of 200+ Scientists.

It wasn't one of those small, quiet ones either, I had just consumes a can of a well known brand of cola beverage, I was nervous and as I opened my mouth to begin, the loudest b*stard belch I've ever produced came from nowhere and was of course amplified via the microphone :o

Stunned silence, a look of horror on my face, followed by a lot of laughter from the audience...all except my boss at the time who wasn't too pleased.

Oh well, as I say, completely unintentional and in extremely serious company but it still got a lot of laughs. classic I suppose :)

Brothers this story I tell you is true ... the belch of which I am most proud was delivered by my 4 year old daughter last Christmas.

After doing her party piece (I'm old skool ... you're in my house you'd better have a party piece) she was thirsty. So, Mrs trout hands over a glass of some fizzy drink, which would be a novelty for the little girl.

After taking several swigs the fruit of my loins leaned back, belched mightily, wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and exclaimed "my jayziz!".:D

While all around are making their minds up how to react (shock, envy, admiration)... I just leaned over and patted her back ... "that's my girl".

Toss up between two. One was when I was in LIT. Those of you who have been there will remember that there is one long cavern-like corridor. It has quite good acoustics as it turns out.

Anyway, after a heavy lunch and some coke I opened my mouth to relieve a bit of pressure that had been building. 30 seconds and one amazing burp later my friends are applauding, men are crying with laughter and women are running in fear.

Another was upon exiting the chicken hut in limerick. One can of coke plus one snackbox led to a very angry Mrs MarkR. As I stepped outside I belched my appreciation to the chef. Unfortunately a nun/sister was walking by at the time and the Mrs swears a bit of chicken hit the holy one. More shocked / appalled faces.
