Easiest way is to send the files via Bluetooth. You can get a Bluetooth dongle for your PC for about 20 euros these days.

Hi there, my friend is having the same problem. I tried to do it for her also but the device doesn't appear under "My Computer" as a device or hard disk drive. In device manager, under the USB controller and the ports, there are sony ..drivers? or something that suggests that there is something there. When the USB cable is plugged in and out, the computer does make a connect/disconnect noise and the USB controller shows the removal/reconnection. I just can't find how to find the phone?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

which is on a CD supplied with the phone when you bought it. This software should also be available online here:

This software will include the drivers required for comms with the phone. Easiest way to transmit is still via bluetooth though...

    Ciao

Thanks seamy_orr, I installed the software and went through it for about 30mins and my friend had tried to find how to do it (with the software installed) for a good while the night before. We couldn't find how to? I actually don't know if she has bluetooth on her computer (it's a cheap enough Dell) But surely the phone should be recognised as a device or hardware, and anyway there must be a way with the usb cable provided with the phone? It should be straight forward??!!
